Finally understand what your child’s IEP means.

I'm Emily — a former Intervention Specialist with 10 years inside special education. I translate IEPs and ETRs into plain English so you can walk into meetings prepared, not panicked.

IF THIS SOUNDS LIKE YOU

"I just signed something. I'm not really sure what it said."

"The team talked fast and I didn't want to slow everyone down."

"I don't know if my child is actually getting enough support."

"I leave every meeting more confused than when I walked in."

"I want to speak up — I just don't know what to say."

"I feel like I should already understand this. I don't."

If any of this hits home, you’re in the right place.

You're not alone. You're not behind. And you're definitely not the only parent who's been Googling this at 10pm. You just haven't had someone to translate it for you yet.

About

I spent 10 years as an Intervention Specialist in PreK–8 classrooms, helping write and carry out IEPs from the inside. I hold a Master's in Reading Science, plus teaching licenses in Early Childhood (PreK–3) and K–12 Intervention.

Then I had my twins. I stepped out of the classroom — but I couldn't stop thinking about the parents I'd worked with. Smart, capable parents who left meetings looking shell-shocked because no one had ever stopped to explain what any of it actually meant.

So I built Bridge to Confidence to do exactly that. No jargon. No legalese. Just clear answers from someone who's been on the other side of the table.

THE BRIDGE TO CONFIDENCE FRAMEWORK

From confused to confident — in 4 steps.

Every family I work with moves through the same path. Here's what it looks like.

Decode

We go through your child's IEP or ETR line by line and translate every score, term, and recommendation into plain English.

"What is the school actually saying?"

Understand

We connect the document to your real kid — what's working, what's missing, and what their school day actually looks like.

"What does this mean for my child?"

Prepare

You walk in with the right questions, the right language, and a clear sense of what matters most to push on.

"What do I say in the meeting?"

Advocate

You're not guessing anymore. You understand the system, you know your child, and you can speak up with confidence..

"I've got this."

From decoding paperwork alone… to confidently understanding, preparing, and advocating for your child's educational needs.

WHAT MAKES THIS DIFFERENT

Why parents choose Bridge to Confidence.

One

I've sat on the school's side of the table.

For 10 years. I know how IEPs are written, what teams actually mean by what they say, and where there's room to push.

Two

I translate first. Always.

You'll never get more jargon thrown at you here. My whole job is to make this make sense.

Three

You stay the parent. I'm the guide.

I don't make decisions for you. I make sure you understand them — so the choice is actually yours.

Four

I'm local — and I'm a mom.

I live in Stark County. I'm raising three kids of my own. I'm not a faceless online service. When we talk, you're talking to someone who gets the school day, the dinner-table stress, and the late-night Googling.
